About the role: An exciting opportunity for a Storeperson to join our fun, collaborative, and hardworking Defence Maintenance Contract team based at the Simpson Barracks (Yallambie). This provides a corridor for a great lifestyle outside of work.
What's On Offer
* $32.72 per hour + Super
* Finish at 12 pm on Fridays
* Full‑time role working 38 hours per week Monday to Friday
* Work with unique Defence vehicle and assets
* Training & Upskilling provided
Reporting to the Site Leader, you will assist with the effective and efficient delivery and control of stores and equipment, with a focus on increasing productivity for the Site's maintenance function.
Responsibilities Include
* Unload goods and check them against order forms
* Catalogue or label items with storage details
* Place goods in bins and on racks, or stack bulky items on floors
* Complete orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off the appropriate lists
* Package and send out completed orders to customers
* Move heavy packages using forklift machinery
* Obtain details of the location and quantity of items in stock, using visual display units or computers
* Enter details of received delivery slips, requisitions and invoices into computers
About You
* Demonstrated experience in stores accounting or commercial equivalent
* Exceptional customer service experience
* Must have a valid Forklift license
* Driver's License essential
* Good communication, problem solving, writing and analysis skills
* Well‑developed computer skills in Microsoft and Defence systems desirable
* You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
