We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Business Development Manager to provide insights, analysis, and recommendations that support the efficient operation and profitability of our loyalty program.
The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the program's financial health, offering strategic financial input to drive resource allocation, enhance customer value, and improve ROI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate ROI, including gross and net revenue benefits of the loyalty program.
- Establish program KPIs and continuously review the program's performance against forecasts and budgets.
- Refine the commercial model to adapt to evolving business needs and market conditions.
- Analyse member benefit costs to align with budget and strategic goals.
- Identify opportunities to optimise program operating costs and improve efficiency.
- Support finance teams with reconciliation to ensure data accuracy.
- Oversee key metrics: earn/burn ratio, points expiry, and redemption rates.
- Manage points inflows/outflows, ensuring data integrity and optimal financial liabilities.
- Optimise expiry rules and breakage rates through actuarial oversight.
- Maintain competitive and financially sustainable partner pricing for points.
- Collaborate with marketing and revenue teams to design and execute financially sound campaigns.
- Develop financial models and frameworks for offers, ensuring alignment with program goals.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and bi-annual Fair Value reviews to keep rewards competitive.
About You:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in financial analysis or related roles, ideally within retail, e-commerce, or loyalty program management.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Familiarity with revenue management, deferred liability reporting, and loyalty program economics is a plus.
