We are seeking a Junior Electrical Draftsman with AutoCAD experience to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to develop their technical skills in switchboard design within a supportive, hands-on environment.
You will be mentored and supervised by experienced team members while gaining exposure to real-world electrical manufacturing processes.
We are a growing Mechanical Electrical company that designs and manufactures our own Mechanical Services Switchboards (MSSB’s). Our Kings Park warehouse is the hub of our switchboard production, and we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, reliable electrical solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and draft electrical schematics for Mechanical Services Switchboards (MSSB’s) using AutoCAD
* Prepare and update electrical drawings in line with project specifications
* Assist with revisions and as-built documentation
* Order electrical components and gear for switchboard builds
* Monitor and maintain stock levels to ensure sufficient materials are available
* Liaise with the warehouse and manufacturing team to support smooth production
About You
* Experience using AutoCAD (essential)
* Electrical trade background, certificate, or relevant qualification (preferred but not essential)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good organisational skills and ability to manage material ordering
* Willingness to learn and grow within the company
* Team-oriented with good communication skills
