JOB DESCRIPTION

The IoT Solutions Sales Engineering role is a critical part of the iOpen team. This individual will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise during the pre-sales process and offering application support to both internal and external customers post-sale. Technical pre-sale activities must be aligned with respective target customers and pipeline opportunities and ultimately lead to the filling of the pipeline and overall sales growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in low voltage, automation, and communication products and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Pre-Sales Support:

- Build and maintain robust relationships with existing and prospective customers, understanding their needs, preferences, and pain points, and providing technical solutions to meet their requirements.

- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features, benefits, and value proposition of our products/services, effectively communicating how they meet customer needs and solve their problems.

- Application Support:

- Provide post-sale technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and resolving product issues.

- Assist customers in the implementation and integration of iOpen products and solutions.

- Technical Expertise:

- Take knowledge and technical leadership positions with customers and be seen as the go to person for solution expertise for technology applied, being immersed with the pre-sales process.

- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments, leveraging this knowledge to identify new business opportunities, anticipate customer needs, and make recommendations for improvement.

PRODUCT CHAMPION

Become the "Product Champion" for one of our unique strategic products. This offers an exciting pathway for career growth, leadership, and significant influence within the company.

- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the product's features, benefits, and competitive advantages

- Engage with customers to understand their needs, challenges, and feedback related to the product.

- Act as the primary point of contact for key customers, providing exceptional service and support.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong technical background (low voltage, automation, and communication products) with the following technologies will be highly regarded:

- Process control and automation

- Industrial electronics and connectivity

- Sensing and process measurement

- Proficient in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies and experienced in driving factory digital transformation initiatives.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, establish trust, and communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.

EDUCATION

Appropriate technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field and minimum of four years’ experience in the process control and industrial automation market preferred. Vertical domain experience either from work as an end-user, vendor, OEM, or integrator.
