About the Position
Schneider Electric, a global organization empowering all to make the most of their energy and resources, seeks an experienced Procurement Specialist. As part of our team in Benalla, Victoria, you will play a key role in transforming procurement for our Benalla Plant.
This permanent position involves leading supplier selection, development, and performance audits, owning category spend analytics, APOP planning, and supplier negotiations. You will work closely with regional and global category teams to align and execute sourcing strategies.
Your responsibilities will also include managing RFPs, pricing agreements, forecasting, reporting, and lifecycle costing. Additionally, you will aim to achieve annual cost reductions through negotiation, benchmarking, and localization.
You will be responsible for ensuring material flow, mitigating risks, and developing alternate sourcing strategies. Building long-term supplier partnerships that drive innovation and sustainability is crucial in this role.
To excel in this position, you must have a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, accompanied by previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment or organization.
Knowledge of Transformer components and related supply chain requirements is highly desirable. Proven technical skills in Procurement, Buying, and Sourcing are essential. Intermediate IT skills, experience with digital tools, and strong data analysis, negotiation, and stakeholder relationship management skills are also necessary.
* Project management capabilities and demonstrated experience in partnering with domestic and international stakeholders are required.
