Primary objective
Provide NT Health specific data support to enable accurate and timely revenue processing and management in the Power Billing
and Revenue Collection (PBRC) system. Support includes monitoring and addressing data issues within PBRC and tailored user
training.
Context statement
Revenue is a key part of the financial sustainability of NT Health. PBRC is the billing system for patient related health services
provided by NT Health. To ensure ongoing efficient, transparent and consistent management of this revenue, it is necessary to
monitor, maintain and address data errors in a timely way.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Monitoring reports, address exceptions in a timely manner and provide feedback and training to PBRC users where applicable.
2. Contribute to the smooth collection of revenue by uploading revenue files in a timely manner.
1. Support the Health Services with periodic auditing and follow up of rejected invoices, receipts, and inactivated customers,
regularly updating aspects of the billing system and investigating and following up issues as required.
4. Monitor, manage and respond to requests and issues from PBRC users, providing phone, email and remote resolution support
for known and documented errors and escalating more complex issues.
5. Apply knowledge of Health revenue and operations to assist the Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD)
in reconciling complex payments with PBRC receipts if required.
6. Support the Business Analyst with user testing related to new releases and integration changes as required.
7. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken
in order to ensure high quality, safe services, and workplaces.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Experience in an accounts payable/accounts receivable environment with the ability to train staff in basic accounts related
matters.
2. Good analytical and problem-solving skills based on excellent attention to detail and initiative to undertake preliminary
exploration/investigation of issues.
3. Experience undertaking reconciliations and developing and monitoring reports.
4. Demonstrated high-level computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word at an intermediate level and strong experience,
knowledge and ability in the use of computerised accounting systems.
5. Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, across a broad and varied stakeholder group, including the
ability to interact effectively with people with diverse cultures.
Desirable
1. Basic working knowledge of Government Accounting System (GAS) or ability to acquire.
2. Basic knowledge of xml or ability to acquire.
