Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer
This role is part of a busy support team, responsible for maintaining productivity across multiple sites.
As a key member of the team, you will be required to steady routine operations, clear aged tickets, and deliver one small but visible improvement before handover.
The contract length is six weeks, with an immediate start and possibility for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own incidents and requests to service level agreements using ITIL practice for incident, problem, change, and knowledge management.
* Build, configure, upgrade, and decommission Windows endpoints to meet standard operating environment/machine operating environment standards.
* Administer Intune or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager for enrolment, policy, and application deployment.
* Support senior leaders with calm and proactive communication.
* Maintain printers, desktop telephony, and meeting rooms running smoothly.
* Keep accurate ticket records, asset information, and concise knowledge articles.
* Assist with relocations and small rollouts while maintaining business as usual performance.
Requirements:
* Senior desktop support experience in large environments or multi-site settings.
* Strong Windows endpoint skills, including lifecycle management.
* Hands-on experience with Intune or MECM, plus AD/Entra ID and Microsoft 365 administration.
* ServiceNow (or similar) with disciplined ticket and stakeholder communication.
* Confidence in boardroom/executive support, AV, and Teams Rooms.
* Solid network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP) and a valid driver's license for site travel.
Nice to Have:
* Hospital or government sector experience.
* Jamf or mixed Windows/Mac fleet exposure.
* Packaging experience and change approvals in an SOE environment.
Compliance and Safety:
* Ability to meet standard public sector onboarding checks.
* Respirator fit-testing may be required in some clinical areas; clean-shaven when a respirator is in use.
