PR Manager | TCS Sydney Marathon (Pont3)
6-Month Contract
Join the team behind the only Abbott World Marathon Major in the Southern Hemisphere!
The TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS, now an Abbott World Marathon Major, is one of the most exciting sporting events in the country and the only Major in the Southern Hemisphere. Each year, the event brings together tens of thousands of runners and captures global attention as Sydney transforms into a city‐wide celebration of endurance, community and culture.
We're looking for a PR Manager to join the team on a 6‐month contract and help shape the story of one of Australia's fastest‐growing global sporting events. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of sport, culture, and media, delivering high‐impact campaigns that reach audiences locally and around the world.
The Role
Working closely with the Head of PR, you will support the planning and delivery of the marathon's communications program — from major announcements and creative campaigns through to athlete stories, cultural moments, and event‐week media operations.
This role is ideal for someone with 3–4 years' experience in PR or communications who thrives in a fast‐paced environment and is excited by the opportunity to work on a globally recognised event.
The role sits within Pont3, the events and brand experience company behind the TCS Sydney Marathon. Pont3 specialises in creating world‐class participation events that connect sport, culture, and community. We have a strong team culture where we support and celebrate our team's achievements, creating a great working environment and high staff retention.

While the primary focus of this role will be the TCS Sydney Marathon, there will also be opportunities to contribute to communications across other Pont3 initiatives, including the Sydney Harbour 10K and the We Run Foundation, a not‐for‐profit organisation focused on increasing participation and access to running across communities.
