About the Role The Youth Job Coach is responsible for providing intensive person centred case management and mentorship to approximately 50 Transition to Work (TtW) participants, aged *****.
The role will include undertaking 'direct employer marketing', providing individual support and the running of facilitated group-based job search sessions to motivate and promote further job placements for participants.
You will undertake detailed assessments, set goals, stabilise non-vocational issues, improve vocational skills, refer to a range of services and motivate and assist the young person find sustainable employment or re-enter education and provide post placement support.
This role is being offered on a full time fixed term contract until 21 February **** and is based at our Mile End site.
You'll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9 day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week.
You will still receive the remuneration of a full time employee in addition to the ability to salary sacrifice.

About You To be successful in the role you will be able to: Work effectively with a culturally diverse range of people, employers and staff; Effectively prove your strong knowledge of industry and the labour market; Demonstrate your strong assessment, case management and motivational skills; Demonstrate your communication skills to negotiate customised jobs for participants with barriers to employment; Prove your ability to motivate and develop positive relationships with all stakeholders including staff; Demonstrate strong task and time management with attention to detail and data integrity; Demonstrate strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office suite, including the ability to type 30 words per minute; and Prove your ability to read, interpret and apply both government, corporate and operational policy and procedures.
You will also be required to: Hold a current drivers' licence; Current Working with Children's Check (or ability to obtain); Have experience within the Youth or Employment Services or a related industry; Have a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development or Youth (or willingness to obtain); and Demonstrated experience supporting young people into work and education.
