Radiology Porter – Hamilton Department

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Medical Imaging Porter who is motivated, adaptable, and ready to thrive in a role that blends front-desk service with real impact in a clinical setting.
What Makes This Role Different?
This role goes beyond the usual porter duties. You'll be at the heart of a fast-paced medical imaging practice, helping inpatients and outpatients through what can often be a stressful time, working closely with radiographers and medical staff, and playing an essential part in the patient journey — from first contact to post-procedure support.
Key Responsibilities
* Transfer patients to and from medical imaging, within the department and to/from other departments as required, by the appropriate method, including bed, chair, or trolley and escorting walking patients.
* Moving patients, including the use of hoists and assisting with lateral transfers.
* Handling of confidential patient documentation as required to and from hospital departments, including when accompanying the patient.
* To ensure that patient movement equipment is cleaned regularly and as and when required in line with infection control policy.
* To provide general housekeeping support e.g., spot cleaning, organising linen, restocking of consumables and waste management.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a healthcare, medical, or high-paced customer service environment.
* Awareness of the importance of manual handling is essential for this, at times, physical position.
* Exceptional multitasking, time management, and organisational skills.
* Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing needs.
* A friendly, empathetic nature with a commitment to putting patients first.
