Learning Support Coordinator Job Opportunity

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and energetic Learning Support Coordinator to lead our committed and caring learning support team, implement programs to support students with diverse learning needs, and work closely with the Principal to set a positive atmosphere and culture for staff and students.


Key Responsibilities

* Work collaboratively with the Principal to establish a positive and productive environment for staff and students
* Lead the daily operations relevant to support staff, ensuring effective collaboration and communication
* Organize and conduct regular meetings for the Learning Support team to foster open dialogue and knowledge sharing
* Liaise with leadership in timetabling and allocation of support staff to ensure efficient resource management
* Support the spiritual development and mentoring of support staff, promoting personal growth and well-being
* Monitor academic progress and attendance of students within the LS program, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for success
* Develop and update Individualised Education Plans to cater to the diverse needs of students
* Foster effective relationships with parents and caregivers as partners in student learning, promoting collaboration and mutual understanding
* Manage incidents, parent complaints, and other issues as directed by the Principal, maintaining a fair and respectful approach
* Organize and deliver staff devotions as required, promoting a sense of community and shared values
* Oversee the enrolment of new students with additional needs, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal support
