Deliver large-scale Government Building projects in remote NT
Your new company
Our client, a successful local Building company, is recruiting a skilled and experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to join their team on major Government projects in remote NT communities.
Your new role
This role combines leadership with hands-on carpentry work:
* Responsible for coordinating a small Trades team on site while working on the tools.
* 2 large-scale new build Government facilities, value from $10m to $45m.
* Full-time role with a duration until October 2026.
* 3 weeks on / 1 week off FIFO roster from Darwin.
* 10-hour standard working day.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Lead and coordinate a small team on site.
* Work on the tools alongside your team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
* Interpret construction plans and ensure compliance with specifications.
* Liaise with Site Supervisors, Project Managers and other Trades.
* Maintain safety standards and ensure site compliance.
* Assist with scheduling, material management, and reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Trade Qualification in Carpentry.
* Extensive Carpentry experience on Residential and Commercial projects, including in the Northern Territory.
* Ability to work in remote locations on rostered shifts.
* White Card and relevant tickets (e.g. Working at Heights, EWP).
