Perinatal Psychology Position
We are seeking an experienced Perinatal Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Townsville University Hospital. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide expert clinical support and management in perinatal services, saving families from expensive and disruptive travel to south-east Queensland.
About the Role
The successful applicant will have a strong background in perinatal psychology, with experience in providing clinical services to women and their families. They will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with medical, sonography, midwifery, health worker and allied health specialist staff.
This is a permanent part-time position, working 15.2 hours per week. The successful applicant will be required to possess a C class driver's licence and be eligible for provisional or general registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Psychology Board of Australia (PsychBA).
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert clinical support and management in perinatal services
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
* Develop and implement treatment plans to meet the needs of women and their families
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
* An Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited four-year qualification in Psychology
* Eligibility for provisional or general registration with AHPRA, PsychBA
* A C class driver's licence
