Infrastructure Canberra is seeking a highly skilled Director, Contracts to lead the Contracts Team within the Procurement, Contracts and Panels Section of the Portfolio Performance and Procurement branch. This position works collaboratively with Infrastructure Canberra project officers and partner directorates across the ACT Government to enable the timely drafting, preparation, and execution of contracts and agreements for construction-related services and works. The role requires a highly organised and responsive leader with deep expertise in contract drafting and management. The successful candidate will oversee a small team of experienced officers, ensuring outputs meet quality and compliance standards, while also providing high-level advice on contract formation and management. The position plays a key role in maintaining and improving the Territory’s standard suite of construction contracts and supporting procurement-related functions. Additionally, the Director will engage with key stakeholders including Procurement ACT and the ACT Government Solicitor’s Office, and will contribute to capability building through training, mentoring, and coaching. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Relevant tertiary or post graduate qualifications in a related area would be highly desirable. This would include procurement, law, contract management or commercial management in an infrastructure related environment. Demonstrated experience supervising / mentoring / training personnel.
