The Budget and Finance Division plays a key role in the delivery of the State Budget and monitors and helps to manage financial and operational performance by Departments. We also provide advice on departmental and agency reviews and provide Budget advice to Cabinet and Cabinet sub-committees.
About the Role
This role involves providing high quality financial, policy and performance analysis and advice to senior management and Ministers across a range of departmental and whole of government issues.
* Leading and taking responsibility for the coordination and performance of a team so that collectively they deliver on agreed outcomes
* Developing innovative and high-quality budget, financial, policy and performance analysis and advice
* Contributing to leadership across the PA group on key financial and/or analysis processes
* Establishing and managing productive and constructive stakeholder relationships
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate:
* High level capability and proven ability in managing staff and leading teams
* Innovative and analytical problem solving and solution generation skills
* Sophisticated understanding of government fiscal, budget, accounting and financial management policies
* Proven ability to negotiate and influence others to achieve strategic objectives
