Overview
:
Overall role description for Content Manager is responsible for planning, designing and creating
content that meets user-centred and organisational needs, encompassing textual information,
graphical content and multimedia elements.
Key duties and responsibilities:
• Manage system control/planning and operational technical service delivery of the department's
record management objectives and needs on EDRMS (Content Manager) and hold Content
Manager Administrator position.
• Draft briefs on records and information management technical issues, represent the department
in relevant Content Manager matters and engage with the department's IT business and solutions
areas including provision of advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage the Content Manager technical reference documents and procedures on behalf of the
department and its user portfolio agencies including required reviews and updates and
maintenance of the EDRMS Technical Reference Guide.
• Maintain and establish datasets including the management and/or facilitation of technical
resolution of Issues.
• Manage Content Manager technical operations including lead on engagement with project
managers for Content Manager updates and upgrade projects as required and related testing and
processes.
• Support the departments legislative and government compliance for corporate records of the
department including the response to Whole of Government Digital Transition Policy, Senate
Continuing Order responses, internal EDRMS benefit realisations and associated reports, returns
and surveys primarily through the production of reports and statistics from Content Manager.
• Contract supervision and engagement through liaison and advice to the office service provider
organisation and procurement of Content Manager technical/maintenance support and related
licensing and licence maintenance.
• Contribute to the delivery of EDRMS technical training and communication strategies to
departmental staff including e-learning content input with the learning and development section
and maintaining and improving the EDRMS intranet site.
• Provide helpdesk and support to staff.
• The specified personnel may be redirected to assist or work on other projects/activities outside of the branch of initial assignment.
