About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Intermediate Remedial Engineer who enjoys working on diverse projects. We are seeking an ambitious Engineer with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and high proficiency in report writing and documentation.
You will perform site inspections and identify building defects such as water proofing issues, cracks and other structural defects. You will provide design solutions and compile reports.
The role offers the chance to undertake a range of responsibilities, including site visits, forensic investigations, building inspections, documentation/photographs, writing reports, proposing and designing a scope of works, specifications and major defect rectification/problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities, Skills and Qualifications
Requirements:
1. Ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years Remedial Engineering experience, predominantly gained working in Australia.
2. Performs investigative works on-site for structural assessment.
3. Prepares clear and concise structural reports to satisfy all aspects of the structural assessment, for the facility management, strata, legal and insurance industries.
4. Undertakes remedial analysis/designs.
5. Preparation of technical scopes of works and tender packages.
6. Builds and maintains professional relationships with building owners, property managers and stakeholders through the life of the project to ensure all deliverables are met within agreed timeframes.
7. Driven to complete assigned tasks on time, with accuracy and to agreed specifications and budget.
8. Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a building construction related degree.
9. Proven knowledge in using software for structural analysis and design.
10. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Demonstrated ability to work independently, and also effectively as part of a team (and collaboratively across functional groups).
12. Full working rights in Australia.
