Overview
The Asset Engineer plans and designs water supply infrastructure and is responsible for related civil, electrical and mechanical works which supports the construction, operation and maintenance of water pipelines, pumping stations and treatment facilities. The role provides technical engineering expertise to ensure systems are efficient, reliable and compliant with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
* Prepare engineering designs and documentation.
* Maintain asset and hydraulic models.
* Conduct condition assessments and technical investigations.
* Ensure accurate asset data to support planning and decision making.
* Contribute to developing internal standards, strategic and operational plans, performance reporting and continuous improvement.
* Provide subject matter expertise, support WHS and environmental processes and engage with stakeholders to optimise asset performance and service delivery.
Qualifications and experience
* Relevant engineering degree (mechanical, electrical or civil).
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role with proven and well-developed knowledge and experience in management and utilisation of asset management data.
* Strong conceptual and analytical skills, and advanced interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
