Committee Member - Wagga to Ladysmith Rail Trail Steering Committee
We have an exciting chance for community members to join the Wagga to Ladysmith Rail Trail Steering Committee. The Committee provides strategic direction, oversight, and advice for the development of the proposed rail trail, ensuring alignment with the NSW Rail Trails Framework, Council resolutions, and regional priorities. It also offers a forum for communication and consultation between landowners, the community, Council, and government representatives.
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
- Representing community perspectives in committee discussions.
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of stakeholder and community engagement activities in collaboration with Council.
- Supporting the identification of funding opportunities and contributing to draft submissions for Council’s consideration.
What You Will Need To Succeed
- Understanding of the role of advisory committees.
- Experience contributing to projects that support community, cultural, or regional growth.
- Live in the Wagga Wagga Local Government Area.
- Commitment to working collaboratively with other committee members and stakeholders.
