Are you seeking a new opportunity with work-life balance and the ability to go home every night? Are you a motivational leader who can inspire change and make a difference? Alcoa's Kwinana Refinery are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join the team! This position is based on a family friendly, Monday to Friday roster, with one leisure day every four-week period.
As an Alcoa supervisor you will play a large part in the success of work execution and people engagement. This front-line leadership role is responsible for coaching and mentoring others to reach their full potential, developing and upholding very high standards in safety, maintenance practices whilst guiding diverse teams to achieve its goals in all areas of the business.
You will act as a help chain to the team, with your ability to problem solve maintenance and team issues. You will be responsible for implementing and sustaining business system improvements, assisting team members implement suggestion scheme ideas and the auditing of standardised work practices.
Other responsibilities include:
- The effective coordination of appropriate support resources to enable the work groups to achieve short-term and long-term business plans within major overhauls- Implement and achieve sustained improvements in problem solving through your leadership- Improve the overall effectiveness of the work group by improving their capability, accountability and applied effort- You will enjoy meeting challenges and working with a diverse group to develop and implement strategies across our work groups.
About you
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- A strong maintenance background, experience working in an alumina/refining processing plant is highly advantageous, although not essential.- Deep commitment to safety and the environment.- Highly developed team leadership and communication skills with experience in implementing and leading change initiatives.- Initiative and self-motivation to excel in working with mínimal supervision.
