Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a collaborative network of leading cardiovascular researchers and institutions across NSW. This role is pivotal in fostering partnerships, managing research grants, and delivering strategic initiatives that build research capacity in cardiovascular health.
This opportunity enables you to work flexibly, blending your time between home and our office. You will be responsible for managing the operations of the network, providing secretariat support to the Executive Committee, developing and managing research grant programs, and organising workshops and events.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in a medical research, health, or related field.
* Strong knowledge of the health and medical research landscape in NSW and Australia.
* Experience in project management, grant administration, or research strategy development.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
* Strong organisational and event management capabilities, with attention to detail.
* Outstanding communication skills to engage diverse audiences, including government, researchers, and donors.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the operations of the network, including stakeholder engagement and strategic initiatives.
* Provide secretariat support to the Executive Committee.
* Develop and manage research grant programs.
* Organise capacity-building workshops, networking events, and Showcase & Ministerial Awards Ceremony.
* Foster collaboration between NSW research institutions, government agencies, and academic bodies.
* Ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
