We are seeking a committed and culturally grounded Heritage and Environment Manager to lead Arabana Heritage and Environment Services (AHES). This is a unique opportunity to step into a senior leadership role that blends strategic oversight, cultural integrity, and operational management.

The successful candidate will coordinate field teams delivering heritage surveys, environmental monitoring, and cultural mapping. They will embed Arabana cultural protocols across all operations, guided by Cultural Advisors, and liaise directly with Traditional Owners, government, mining, and pastoral stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of Arabana Country, culture, protocols, and community expectations. They will possess experience in Indigenous land management, heritage surveys, or environmental projects, strong leadership in field-based roles, and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

About the Role:

* Coordinate and support field teams delivering heritage surveys, environmental monitoring, and cultural mapping.

* Drive implementation of the AHES Business Plan, focusing on sustainability, financial performance, and community empowerment.

Requirements:

* Demonstrated knowledge of Arabana Country, culture, protocols, and community expectations.

* Experience in Indigenous land management, heritage surveys, or environmental projects.

* Strong leadership in field-based roles and team development.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

* Qualifications (or equivalent experience) in environmental science, cultural heritage, or Indigenous governance.

* Willingness to travel regularly and work on Country.

Essential Checks & Certifications:

* Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
">
* National Police Clearance.
">
* Valid Driver's License (C-Class).
">
* White Card, Senior First Aid, 4WD Training, Snake Handling, AAR Survey/Monitoring Training (Or willingness to obtain).
