AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and oversee the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply‐chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles, collaborating across AWS to deliver safety and security while providing limitless capacity at lowest possible cost.
Key Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include planning, creating, and updating server‐room design packages for AWSDataCenters. Design packages depict planned rack locations, cooling and power sources, cages, mantraps, and other equipment within a server room. You will work independently and within a team, collaborating with internal and external groups. Your duties include:
* Be self‐motivated and work within the MEP group and other teams.
* Prepare and develop detailed Revit models of MEP, telecom, and security building systems.
* Develop and publish construction documentation for MEP, telecom, and security building systems designs in a fast‐paced environment to meet scheduled deliverables.
* Assist with creating and maintaining BIM templates and enforce BIM standards.
* Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
* Assist the project team with information‐exchange processes between internal and external customers.
* Record and report key metrics to management.
* Provide positive, creative, out‐of‐the‐box solutions.
A Day in the Life
As a BIM Designer you collaborate across disciplines and teams to refine data center designs. You create detailed models, drawings, specifications, prototypes, and update managers and leaders on changes to building designs. You engage in design discussions, review feedback from peers and collaborators, and adjust designs to meet the highest standards of efficiency and quality.

Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Knowledge of critical data‐center mechanical and electrical equipment.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission‐critical facilities, especially data centers.
* 3+ years of design/engineering producing construction drawings for mission‐critical facilities.
* 2+ years of Consistent Revit and AutoCAD experience.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
* Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems.
* Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
* Experience using a variety of web‐based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.
