Service & aftersales manager – earthmoving equipment

COMPANY -

Australians 5 Biggest Earthmoving & Construction dealer has been building a reputation for delivering exceptional customer service and excellent product sales for the last 7 years in Australia. With excellent training and strong global brand behind you they strive to be one of the largest dealers in Sydney. They have driven results through one of the best Earthmoving & material handling products in Australia. They are seeking a highly experienced Service Manger that has run and technical earthmoving operation and understands the importance of customer service. Do you have the experience and management exposure to lead from the Front?

POSITION -

In this challenging role you are going to be working with the General manager and Sales management team to oversee Sydney NSW. The current operation needs a professional that is hands on, you will have an eye for detail and can lead by example. You will have a small team to begin with and we need your help to not only grow the team but to also exceed budgets and put in place strong work ethic. With the Branches having a successful sales team and machines getting assembled daily you will need to keep up on new builds but also oversee existing projects. The operation has a large service operation and with pressure from the team it will be down to you coordinate and oversee all deliveries and Service backup support to customers. Recruitment has been a challenge for the Sydney branch and to attract quality staff, this is one of the biggest challenges that currently sit within the operation. This will be your own operation, and the General Manager has said he really needs a proven leader and someone that can handle the pressure but can also run this like his own business.

You will wear multiple hats in the business, and we need an all-rounder. We understand that this is a challenge. Your attitude and positive direction is the key to your success and you will always lead and motivate the team around you.

* Maintain a safe & healthy working environment in compliance with OH & S policies & regulations.
* Talk with customers daily and advise on invoicing and payment plus putting out fires with the direction of resolving problems and driving the relationship forward.
* Manage your Service team to repair of equipment
* Manage and maintain workshop and work with senior management to achieve objectivities
* Ensure the work carried out in the workshop is in compliance with the job specifications
* Oversee schematics of new builds and openly communicate within internal departments on technical issues and problems that may occur with customised equipment.
* Communicate effectively to the OEM in supply and logistic issues.
* Manage the existing field service team and support customers from the Sydney operation by working with the Field Service and workshop team as well as Sales Team.
* Train and develop key staff members on new equipment and equipment upgrades
* Communicate and organise the internal engineering teams
* Oversee full operation and reduce all issues within the operations.
* Work closely with your workshop team to make sure everything gets completed on a timely manner and to safety standard
* Support your remote service branch and provide direct management support.
* YOU must understand retail service environment that Time on the build is essential and coming in under cost.
* True leadership and operational management to build a successful working team that works as one and every department talks to each other.
* Call and develop new after sales business and looked to grow revenue for the Service department.

You will be overseeing the build of the following equipment –

· Excavators

· Tractors

· Wheel Loaders

· Site Dumpers

· Roller

· Articulated dump Trucks

· Rock Breakers attachments

· Rock Drills

JOB REQUIRMENTS –

· years as a service Manger within the Earthmoving or Agg Industry.

· You must have worked for major Earthmoving dealership or OEM within Australia.

· Cert 3 Heavy Plant Mechanic

· You must have a strong network of customers that you can bring onboard and or call to find new business.

· Leadership qualities

· Machine Retail experience

· Excellent organisational skills

· Team Leader

SALARY & BENNFITTS –

· Base Salary $140,000 to $150,000
