We're looking for a Platform Engineering Lead to own the operating platform that underpins a growing ecosystem of connected products.
This is a hands‐on leadership role for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of systems engineering, platform architecture, security, and developer enablement. You'll be responsible for defining how the platform is built, deployed, secured, monitored, and maintained across multiple product lines and hardware environments.
Rather than focusing solely on Linux administration or development, this role is about building a platform capability that enables engineering teams to move faster, operate more reliably, and deliver products with confidence.
You'll lead a team of highly capable engineers while remaining closely involved in technical decision‐making, architecture, and platform strategy.
What You'll Be Responsible For
* Defining the long‐term platform strategy and technical roadmap
* Leading a team responsible for Linux platforms, operating systems, deployment infrastructure, and platform tooling
* Establishing engineering standards around reliability, observability, security, and lifecycle management
* Driving platform automation, reproducibility, and operational excellence
* Building scalable deployment and update mechanisms across diverse environments
* Improving developer experience through tooling, automation, and streamlined workflows
* Partnering with software, embedded, security, systems, and product teams to ensure platform capabilities support future growth
* Creating a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
* Deep expertise in Linux operating systems and platform architecture
* Experience leading platform, infrastructure, Linux, DevOps, or systems engineering teams
* Strong understanding of security, deployment, observability, and operational reliability
* Experience building and maintaining production systems operating at scale
* Strong automation and scripting capability (Python, Go, Bash, or similar)
* A systems‐thinking mindset with the ability to balance technical quality, business priorities, and long‐term platform evolution
* Someone who enjoys mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar around them
