About The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Dietetics Department at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals in a new Senior Critical Care Dietitian role. This is a part time specialist position focused on managing the nutritional needs of patients in Intensive Care, and supporting other dietitians in the department. Campbelltown Hospital continues to undergo redevelopment and expansion including critical care services. The intensive care unit is a 16 bed unit.
What You'll Be Doing
This position is responsible for providing patient centred and high quality nutrition services to clients, including providing nutritional care to patients as per caseload; provide and participate in education and evaluation; supervise students and Level 1-2 dietitian as appropriate; and participate in ongoing professional development.
Where you'll be working
Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, work together to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region. Campbelltown Hospital, a leading tertiary facility, offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, and aged-care services. It also features specialised Mental Health and Cancer facilities. Camden Hospital complements these services by specialising in care for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care. The hospitals share a close-knit, community-focused team dedicated to delivering safe, quality, and compassionate care. The ongoing multi-million dollar redevelopment at Campbelltown Hospital will further enhance its capabilities, introducing advanced equipment and amenities.

Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics as recognized by the Dietitians Association of Australia.
Relevant clinical experience including experience in critical care, demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of complex case load.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group education skills and excellent computer skills including CBORD.
Experience and knowledge in service development and quality improvement.
Demonstrated ability in clinical supervision of students and/or staff.
