About The Role
We’re on the hunt for a social media superstar to lead our social accounts and build a community. For this role, you will create engaging content, optimise company pages, and foster community interaction. Social media specialists are knowledgeable in various social media platforms; you will utilise analytics to drive customer engagement, website traffic, and revenue growth.
The position is remote/full‑time (40 hours per week), as close to Melbourne, Australia time zone as possible.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in Social Media is essential
- Graduate of BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations
- Should be based in South Africa
- Skilled in copywriting and simple creative executions
- Familiar with Facebook pixel installation and diagnostics
- Digital literacy with a proven track record in social media marketing
- Analysing online traffic and engagement metrics
- Working within a team to locate and capitalise on social media trends
- Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
- Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
- Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with positive multitasking and organisational ability
Responsibilities
- Build and execute social media strategies for Lion Clients, through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
- Set up and optimise company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
- Moderate all user‑generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
- Continuously improve by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
