About the role
This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role where you'll drive the People & Culture agenda for a growing state operation, while also owning a national portfolio that spans a key service stream within the business. Your remit spans everything from employee engagement and cultural transformation to IR/ER leadership, union negotiations, and proactive grievance management.
* Lead a high-profile state operation, driving people strategy across a diverse and growing workforce.
* Own a national portfolio, taking strategic responsibility for a key service stream across the country, influencing workforce outcomes at scale.
* Be embedded in operations, partner closely with site leaders, recruitment, and frontline teams to drive engagement and retention.
* Lead IR/ER initiatives, manage union relationships, EA negotiations, and grievance investigations with a proactive lens.
* Drive cultural transformation, champion initiatives that reduce turnover and elevate the employee experience.
* Leverage global tools and initiatives, accessing a suite of digital platforms, engagement apps, and global HR programs.
About You
You're a seasoned People & Culture leader who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments. You know how to balance strategic thinking with operational execution, and you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves to make things happen.
You'll bring:
* Proven experience leading HR functions in large, multi-site or service-driven environments.
* Strong capability in IR/ER, including union engagement, EA negotiations, and proactive issue resolution.
* A track record of driving culture, engagement, and retention.
* A collaborative, resourceful mindset, someone who builds trust quickly and leads with empathy and impact.
* Confidence in partnering with senior stakeholders and contributing to broader business strategy.
