Job Title: Sexual Health Medicine Registrar
Key Role:
* Gain comprehensive expertise in sexual health medicine through a training position with the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Manage and provide clinical services for sexually transmitted and blood borne virus infections under the supervision and direction of senior specialists.
2. Contribute to public health responses including outbreak investigation, management, and emergency planning.
3. Participate in projects that enhance sexual health programs and policies.
4. Develop and implement policies and programs across sexual health medicine.
5. Engage in media, public messaging, teaching, and research application activities.
6. Join the AChSHM training program.
7. Adhere to service quality standards, work health and safety procedures, and ensure safe workplaces.
8. Exemplify leadership by promoting a positive workplace culture.
Requirements:
* Holding medical registration or eligibility with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Completion of the AChSHM advanced trainee program or suitable qualifications and experience.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills for effective collaboration with various healthcare professionals.
* Proven experience in sexual health medicine with demonstrated clinical and operational skills.
* Conceptual and analytical skills including research background.
* Knowledge of Northern Territory public health issues related to sexually transmitted infections.
* Cultural competence for interacting with diverse populations.
