We're currently seeking a Maintenance Leading Hand to join our team at Civilmart Shepparton Pipes. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities across the site to ensure equipment reliability and production efficiency are maintained at the highest level.

About the Role
The Maintenance Leading Hand will lead maintenance operations across the Shepparton Pipes facility, taking ownership of preventative and corrective maintenance schedules, equipment performance, and maintenance team coordination.
This role requires a trade-qualified professional with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance who can lead by example, communicate effectively, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday permanent role offering long-term career security in a growing national organisation.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the maintenance team to ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
* Plan and perform regular preventative and corrective maintenance on all plant and equipment.
* Monitor and maintain equipment reliability to meet production targets.
* Maintain accurate service and maintenance records in accordance with company procedures.
* Work collaboratively with Production and Branch Managers to address plant performance issues.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
* Liaise with suppliers and contractors for repairs, spare parts, and maintenance support.
* Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Support and train maintenance personnel and promote best practices in maintenance operations.
* Participate in investigations and corrective actions following incidents or equipment failures.

Skills and Experience
* Relevant trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter, Industrial Maintenance or similar).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance or fitter role within a manufacturing or production environment.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability.
* Proven experience supervising maintenance teams.
* Competent in Microsoft Office and maintenance software systems.
* High attention to detail, safety-focused, and a self-starter with strong communication skills.
* Current driver's licence required; forklift licence highly regarded.
