Business Improvement Officer
Position Brief
We are seeking a motivated and outcomes‐driven Business Improvement Officer to join our high‐performing Business Improvement Delivery team. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of impactful initiatives that drive operational efficiency, strengthen processes, and support organisational objectives. Working within a structured governance framework, you will partner with stakeholders across the organisation to identify improvement opportunities, support project delivery and embed sustainable change. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing practitioner looking to build experience across process improvement, project delivery and stakeholder engagement within a complex, dynamic environment.
Salary
From $101,616 plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and deliver business improvement initiatives within agreed scope, timelines, governance frameworks and resource parameters
* Support discovery and scoping activities by gathering information, documenting requirements and analysing current and future state processes
* Undertake project management of low to moderately complex initiatives with clearly defined objectives and delivery expectations
* Support the development of project documentation, including business cases, process maps and implementation plans
* Contribute to process improvement activities using structured methodologies and best practice techniques
* Engage with stakeholders to support implementation, drive adoption and ensure effective communication
* Monitor and support benefits realisation for assigned initiatives
* Escalate complex issues, risks or strategic matters to Senior Business Improvement Officers or Coordinators as required
What You'll Bring
* A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project/Program Management or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, such as:
o Business Analyst
o Business Process Analyst
o Project Manager
o Change Analyst
* Current unrestricted Class "C" Driver Licence
* Demonstrated ability to analyse business problems and contribute to effective, practical solutions
* Experience documenting requirements, processes and project artefacts (e.g. process maps, business cases)
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and influence outcomes
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes
Formal Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project/Program Management or a related discipline
* Equivalent combination of qualifications and/or relevant industry experience will be considered
Desirable Certifications
* Six Sigma Yellow Belt (or higher)
* Certified Business Process Associate (CBPA)
* PRINCE2 Project Management
* PROSCI or Change Management Practitioner certification
