Role Details:
An opportunity is available for a Senior Business Support Officer to join the Department for Child Protection in Berri, supporting the Business Manager and the wider office through expert administrative, HR and finance support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy and organisation, and wants to make a meaningful contribution behind the scenes. Your work will directly support service delivery and help create a positive, well supported environment for staff across the region.
In this role, you will
* Deliver comprehensive HR and finance administration for the local office
* Maintain accurate records, files and reporting systems
* Assist with budgeting, cash flow and expenditure tracking
* Support recruitment, onboarding and office orientation processes
To be successful
You will bring demonstrated experience managing a high and varied administrative workload, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and remain responsive in a busy environment. Your communication skills will enable you to work confidently with a range of stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
You will have strong knowledge and practical experience across finance, budgeting, human resources and records management, with the ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and systems accurately. Your attention to detail, analytical skills and confidence using spreadsheets and reporting tools will support sound decision making and effective office operations.
You will be a collaborative team member who builds positive working relationships and supports others to succeed. You will show initiative, problem solving ability and a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace.
