About the role
As a Senior Lecturer in Counselling you will promote and provide leadership to the discipline of Counselling through an active engagement, in the scholarship of learning and teaching, educational design and delivery, and course accreditation/re-accreditation. You will also be responsible for developing and enhancing links between the University and the wider Counselling community. In addition, there is a requirement for academic excellence which may be evidenced by an outstanding contribution to teaching and the profession. This position may be required to travel to other UNE campuses.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will:
Hold a post graduate qualification in Counselling (or a cognate discipline) at Masters level or above and have a minimum of 5 years professional experience.
You will be eligible for membership with the Australian Counselling Association. You will have strong teaching abilities, and experience in unit coordination and flexible course delivery and strong leadership skills. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills are essential. Additionally, you should be committed to quality education, able to collaborate across disciplines, and willing to contribute to student support and university activities.
