Peer Support Specialist
We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Peer Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide emotional support and connection to individuals who have attempted suicide or are experiencing suicidal thoughts.
* About the Role: You will work with people in a safe and validating environment, helping them explore coping strategies, develop safety plans, and access local and online resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Support individuals during scheduled calls, build trusting relationships, and help people explore their concerns and worries.
* Requirements: Lived experience of suicidality or suicide bereavement, non-judgmental attitude, empathy, right to work in Australia, current valid Driver's Licence, and ability to undertake some travel.
