Role Description/Criteria
St Mary's School, Geelong, has a rich history in providing quality education that equips students with the necessary knowledge, skills, attributes, and behaviors to use throughout their lifetime.
We are seeking a passionate, highly skilled educator who will embrace the school's vision for evidence-informed practices to join our dedicated staff team. This full-time, fixed-term classroom teaching position will commence as soon as possible and conclude on Monday, January 26th, 2026.
This position is for 2025 with a possibility of further employment.

Experience in evidence-informed learning and teaching with the ability to deliver content passionately
The ability to work and plan collaboratively as part of a team, sharing responsibility for improving student outcomes
Efficient and effective classroom behavior management strategies
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and families
A commitment to adopting the school's vision for evidence-informed practices, including the Science of Reading, designing a knowledge-based curriculum, and an Explicit Instruction pedagogical approach, with a willingness to undertake ongoing professional development in these areas

Salary will be in accordance with the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement and is available at www.cecv.catholic.edu.au.
Special Requirements
Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School
Current Teacher Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
Completion and submission of the 'Application For Employment' document
