About Us:
Bidgerdii Community Health Services is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled primary health care service, operating in the Rockhampton and wider Central Queensland region for more than 30 years.
Bidgerdii provides comprehensive primary healthcare and wellbeing services, collaborates with partner agencies or integrated continuity of care and advocates for health policy and health system reform.
Our services include general practice bulk-billing clinics, social and emotional wellbeing and generalist counselling services, chronic disease management, preventative health screening, children and family health and early childhood education services.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and culturally aware Recruitment Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing all recruitment activities, supporting the hiring of staff who reflect our community values, and ensuring a smooth and efficient recruitment process across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and manage recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
* Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job advertisements, applicant screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
* Support managers with workforce planning and staffing requirements.
* Maintain accurate recruitment records and reporting.
Selection Criteria:
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in recruitment or human resources.
* Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
* Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
* Experience working in a health or community services environment is highly desirable.
Practical Requirements:
* Valid Blue Card (Working with children check)
* Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD) – essential
* Immunisation requirements – It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A and pertussis (whooping cough) during their employment.
* Satisfactory Police Criminal History Check.
