Key Roles and Responsibilities
The Senior Business Development Manager will execute go-to-market strategies for advanced autonomous systems and scalable software-as-a-service adoption. They will lead sales pursuits, differentiate the company in competitive environments, engage with government and industry stakeholders to build long-term partnerships, and provide actionable market intelligence.
Core Accountabilities:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Significant experience in business development, sales, or commercial strategy
* Proven success in defense, aerospace, autonomy, AI, or unmanned systems
* Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, BD, and product teams
* Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with executive-level communication
* Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Qualifications:
* Australian Security Clearance (NV1 or above)
* Prior ADF operational or leadership experience (RAAF or RAN strongly valued)
* Experience with UAVs, mission autonomy, or advanced sensing capabilities
* Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
