We seek a Young People's Empowerment Specialist to bring optimism, creativity and belief in young people's potential.
* Meet contract, performance and practice requirements upholding ethical and professional standards.
* Contribute to improvements in Aftercare promoting high standards of service delivery.
Responsibilities
* Provide advocacy mentoring and practical support based on trauma-informed care principles.
* Build trusting respectful partnerships with young people recognising their strengths and highlighting future possibilities.
* Maintain a high level of face-to-face contact building relationships unless preferred remote assistance.
Qualifications
* A minimum of 3 years experience working with young people and relevant tertiary qualifications in social science or equivalent.
* A current driver's licence and Working with Children Check.
* A deep understanding of caseworker versus coach roles empowering rather than directing.
