* Multinational Manufacturing Company (Multi-Site Operations)
* Location: Penrith, NSW
* Up to $120,000 + super
You will take ownership of costing for a newly acquired manufacturing business, creating and updating Build of Materials (BOMs), analysing costs, and shaping processes that set the business up for long-term success. From day one, you'll work hands‐on with production teams and visit multiple manufacturing sites in NSW, Victoria, and Queensland, seeing firsthand how your decisions influence efficiency, margins, and profitability. This isn't just a desk job; this is a role where your expertise drives real operational impact.
Day to day your responsibilities will be, but will not be limited to:
* Building and maintaining BOM's that directly influence production efficiency and product profitability
* Analysing standard costs, actual costs, and variances, translating numbers into actionable insights for operational and management decisions
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency
* Working closely with production teams, helping ensure costing processes are practical and accurate
* Preparing and presenting reports to managers and operational stakeholders, guiding strategic decisions
* Contributing to process improvements, making costing systems smarter, faster, and more effective
Ideally you will have:
* Tertiary education in accounting
* Related experience, either as a Cost Accountant or Management Accountant
* Hands‐on experience in manufacturing or operational cost accounting
* Comfortable using accounting software (Pronto or similar) and MS Office
* Strong communication skills, able to explain costing insights clearly to managers, clients, and operational teams
