About the Role
Our client is adding a Licensed Customs Broker to their Melbourne office. The position is a solo broker in Melbourne as part of a national team reporting to a Sydney-based Manager. Working paperless on CW1 in an autonomous role, handling the clearance process from end to end. The position will suit a licensed broker who loves autonomy and controlling the process. CW1 experience, along with time working in a smaller forwarder, will be ideal!
Duties
* Hands on Broker role handling compiling, classifying and lodgement
* Educate teams to have presented files completed and ready for processing
* Identify TCO, ACS, AQIS and ATO duties and tax initiatives to benefit the customers
* Resolve specific and technical queries for both clients and fellow brokers (working in a team of 4 nationally)
Skills and Experience
* 5+ years as a licensed Customs Broker preferred
* Previous experience working autonomously
* AEP accreditation advantageous
* Solid written and verbal communication skills
* Experience working with CW1 and paperless preferred
