NORTH WEST PATHOLOGY
Status: Part Time (20 - 30 hrs per week negotiable) & Casual
Department: Specimen Collection
About The Role:
* Part Time and Casual positions available
* Collect pathology specimens from patients in our collection rooms, hospitals and as part of domiciliary services within the North West region
* Store and process pathology specimens
* Patient reception and response to client enquiries
* Record patient information
* Attend to the well-being of patients
* Liaise with patients and referring doctors
* Use of laboratory application software
* This is not a courier position
Selection Criteria:
* Flexible availability to work Monday to Friday, weekends and public holidays
* Able to commit to an intensive training program for up to 6-8 weeks full time
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
* Exceptional skills in applying attention to detail
* The ability to work co‑cooperatively and encouragingly within a team
* Proven ability to act independently within established guidelines, demonstrating initiative and sound judgement
* A current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
* Previous phlebotomy experience will be considered an advantage
