Job Summary
The Australian Research Council (ARC) is seeking an experienced Database Administrator/Data Engineer to assist in the design, implementation, and support of its data capabilities. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in database administration, development, data warehousing, and business intelligence to provide data services and develop new business analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Spearhead projects/tasks from planning to execution, managing risks, issues, approvals, and competing priorities effectively.
* Utilize exceptional MS SQL Server development skills, with at least five years of experience, to drive business outcomes.
* Develop Business Intelligence solutions using the stack, particularly SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
* Troubleshoot and optimize database systems to ensure seamless performance.
* Work collaboratively within a small delivery team to deliver data services and support the development of new business analytics services.
* Engage with stakeholders to develop work packages using an adapted scrum methodology.
* Evaluate selection criteria for each application submission, ensuring alignment with organisational standards.
