State Government is seeking a Service Director to join their organisation.

**Your new role**
You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and hold relationships of trust. You will understand the organisation's ICT and current challenges and drivers. You will have decisive and sense of prioritisation across strategic and tactical issues as well as adequate role seniority to effect influence and drive action/decision making internally and externally.
You will support and coordinate Service Management initiatives on behalf of the ICT SLT and assist ICT to forecast and manage the service demands. You will transition to pro-active ways of working to provide clarity on work priorities, meet customers' demands, and relieve pressure on ICT staff.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Have strong IT service operation background and experience in an IT service desk environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the management and reporting of service desk requests, incidents, problems and changes.
- Leadership quality with customer service focus, diligent with excellent organisational skills as well as willingness to provide the best service to their client base.
- Well-developed written communication skills, including the development of key documents to support the IT service operation processes (e.g. user guides, technical instructions, web content, incident alerts and department wide notifications).
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certified (desirable)
