As a Navigation Instructor you'll support and coordinate high‐quality navigation training at the School of Navigation Warfare, based at HMAS Stirling. You'll contribute to both theoretical and practical training across classroom, simulator and at‐sea environments. Working closely with experienced instructors and defence personnel, you'll help shape capable maritime professionals. Your work will directly support operational readiness and capability outcomes.

Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging navigation training across classroom, simulator and sea environments
* Support assessment of learner performance to maintain high training standards
* Coordinate training activities in line with Defence learning frameworks
* Develop and update courseware, training materials and assessment tools
* Maintain compliance with Serco and Defence policies and procedures
* Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve training outcomes
Qualifications
* Intermediate Navigation Warfare Officers Course qualification or equivalent, with at least 18 months' experience navigating a Minor War Vessel within the last 5 years
* Strong communication skills with confidence delivering training to groups
* Ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders
* Well‐developed organisational skills with attention to detail
* Experience in instructional or training environments (highly regarded)
* Familiarity with simulation systems and training development practices
* Be able to achieve and maintain a defence security clearance of NV1 or higher
