Who are we looking for? We're looking for an Environmental Scientist or Planner to join our growing Environment team in Newcastle or any of our offices in northern New South Wales. Our team is dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions for major projects, including future energy, transport, water and other various environmental projects. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Leading and supporting multidisciplinary teams in the design, coordination, and delivery of environmental impact assessment studies and management plans for a range of statutory approvals and projects across northern NSW and beyond. Contributing technical expertise to major projects in energy transition, transport, water, and property sectors for both public and private clients, ensuring innovative and high-quality outcomes. Managing project delivery and providing technical leadership, including conducting environmental monitoring, site inspections, and preparing comprehensive technical reports. Building strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders to facilitate collaborative engagement and successful project outcomes. Supporting business development by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, mentoring junior team members, and enhancing the team’s technical capabilities through technical reviews and strategic decision-making. What you will bring to the team : 5 to 15 years of experience in consulting or government positions related to environmental matters. Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of environmental issues and relevant legislation. Established track record in preparing environmental impact assessments and conducting environmental planning. Proficiency in the development and implementation of environmental management plans or systems. Hold a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or a closely related discipline.
