The ADF Health Services team provides integrated health support to 85,000 ADF personnel across 50+ facilities. This includes primary and occupational healthcare, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmacy, occupational rehabilitation, health administration, pathology, imaging, radiology, vocational rehabilitation, hospital, specialist, allied health, patient transport, and other services enabled by Bupa systems.
What’s your role?
As the General Manager, Clinical Governance, you will oversee the clinical governance framework, ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective clinical care within ADF Health Services. Your responsibilities include developing, implementing, and managing systems that promote clinical best practices, compliance, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with clinical and non-clinical leaders to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
You will lead a team of Medical Professionals and specialists to deliver functions such as Clinical Complaint and Incident Management, Clinical Credentialing, Clinical Insights, and Clinician Engagement under the ADF Health Services Contract.
What will your day involve?
You will:
1. Lead the development and improvement of the clinical governance framework.
2. Provide leadership for clinical risk management, quality assurance, and patient safety.
3. Support a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous clinical improvement.
4. Oversee policies, procedures, and processes ensuring clinical quality.
5. Collaborate to implement evidence-based practices and drive clinical improvements.
6. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including accreditation and legal requirements.
7. Identify clinical risks, analyze trends, and develop mitigation strategies.
8. Lead investigations and root cause analyses for clinical incidents.
9. Analyze data to generate insights and identify improvement opportunities.
10. Lead service optimization initiatives translating quality improvements into operations.
11. Build relationships with stakeholders, including clinical and administrative personnel, health departments, and third-party providers.
12. Engage with clinicians and evolve service models to support clinician development and service quality.
