Our client is a growing interior design practice based in North Shore, working across a diverse range of residential and commercial interior projects. Their work spans from smaller-scale interiors through to high-end, detail-driven projects
They are now seeking a talented Senior Interior Designer to join our team and take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery.
This role suits a confident, hands-on designer who is ready to lead projects, push them forward independently, and grow into an Associate-level position as the studio expands.
Your Role
* Lead and deliver interior design projects from concept to completion
* Work across a varied project scale (up to $250k interior projects)
* Produce high-quality design and documentation packages
* Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and contractors
* Assist with studio growth, including expansion into Sydney's Eastern Suburbs and high-end residential work
* Opportunity to help shape processes and contribute to the future direction of the practice
* Lead the preparation of design concepts, mood boards, FF&E selections, finish schedules and detailed documentation packages
* Oversee project programs, budgets and client liaison to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard
* Represent the studio at site meetings, design workshops and client presentations
* Uphold and reinforce the studio's design ethos, aesthetic direction and quality benchmarks across all projects
You will have...
* 3–5 years' professional experience in interior design
* Strong design sensibility with a keen eye for aesthetics, space, proportion, and materials
* Confident working independently and leading projects
* Practical, proactive, and solutions-focused
* Comfortable managing varied project types and budgets
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong documentation skills, including Joinery detailing and Interior drawing sets
* Solid understanding of construction detailing and documentation for DA / CC / CDC
* Proficient in: Revit and/or SketchUp
* Good understanding of FF&E, Materials, finishes, and suppliers
* Experience in residential or commercial interior design (experience in both is highly regarded)
* Language: English (Mandarin/Chinese language skills are a bonus but not essential
* Open to candidates with a Melbourne background who are relocating or already Sydney-based
