Then you could be the perfect Nurse Unit Manager (NUM2) to join the professionals at Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network. Specifically, we're looking for a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM2) that has current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia. Someone with significant recent clinical experience in a mental health setting and tertiary qualification in health management or working towards or a combination of study. Importantly, if you are an overseas resident with a temporary visa, please apply. This position will be open to you if no suitable Australian permanent resident or citizen is identified.

Here at Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network, the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM2) - The position will provide leadership and manage the delivery of health care services for all patients admitted to the Correctional Centre. The position is an integral part of nursing administration and has responsibility and accountability for planning, development, implementation and evaluation of health services for patients and for overseeing the delivery of those services. This includes the co-ordination and monitoring of service provision, and implementing and monitoring activity relating to service planning and development and policy development. The position holder will work within Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (the Network) and NSW Ministry of Health policies, procedures and guidelines as well as the relevant Corrective Services NSW legislation, regulations, and policies.

- Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Tertiary qualification in health management or working towards or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise and negotiate with clinicians, managers, staff and other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in budget development and monitoring financial performance.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate inspire and manage staff to achieve service and organisational goals utilising recognised change management principles.
- Understanding of the accreditation process, participation in quality improvement activities and clinical redesign projects which support the quality process.
- Proven ability in Windows based programs and/or computer based rostering systems.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the values of the Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network.
