Heavy Machinery Technician
We are seeking skilled professionals to fill Permanent positions as Diesel Fitters in our Far North Queensland branch. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.
About the Role
* You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing heavy machinery and equipment, including CAT machinery and components.
* You will also be involved in equipment assembly and diagnostics using Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems.
* Your primary goal will be to provide high-quality services and repairs while working efficiently within target times.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair heavy machinery and equipment
* Perform diagnostic assessments on mining, general construction, and power generation equipment

Requirements
* Certificate III in Engineering and Mechanical or similar qualifications
* Knowledge of engine reconditioning and rebuilds
* Demonstrated service and repair experience on heavy machinery
* Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems or similar experience in motor mechanics and agriculture/sugar farming
* Proven ability to maintain a high level of workplace health and safety
* A customer-driven focus and commitment to continuous improvement
* Excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to quality control
