Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Perth, WA, for a Machinist at Gardiner Engineering. The Machinist will be responsible for operating manual and CNC machinery to fabricate and repair precision components according to specifications. Key duties include interpreting engineering drawings, setting up equipment, performing quality checks, and maintaining machines. The role also involves troubleshooting mechanical issues and collaborating with the team to meet production goals.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machinery
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
* Experience with machining processes such as turning, milling, grinding, and drilling
* Knowledge of precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers
* Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
* Commitment to safety standards and quality assurance processes
* Prior experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
* Relevant trade qualification, such as a Certificate III in Engineering or Fitting and Machining, is an advantage
